Planning ahead is important in high school! Here is an example of how to fit orchestra in all four years of high school (even with AP classes!).
FAQ
-
A typical class includes various musical exercises such as scales, bowing techniques, sightreading, and concert preparation. In addition, we love to share laughs, stories, and connections with one another.
-
Similar to your middle school orchestra experience, the time commitment depends on the level of the ensemble you are placed in. Each class works on at least three pieces per performance with four performances per year. In order to ensure proper preparation for upcoming performances, students are required to complete recorded and in-person assessments. However, regardless of your ensemble, orchestra is a place of both musical and personal growth.
-
We have moved to fully recorded auditions. Audition cuts will be released around two days before the final deadline, and students should record and submit within that time frame.
-
Absolutely! We have students in a variety of different sports and activities such as HOSA, DECA, AcDec, etc.
